Riverbend Meats’ New Beef Processing Plant Named America’s Best Manufacturing Project

Located just outside Idaho Falls, Idaho, Riverbend Meats’ new state-of-the-art beef processing facility has been recognized as America’s best new manufacturing project. Out of thousands of manufacturing facilities built from May 2022 through May 2023 in the United States, only one could be named as the absolute best—and Riverbend Meats came home with the top trophy!


Presented by Engineering News-Record (ENR), the most respected trade publication in the construction industry, the Best Project Award for Manufacturing Award was presented to Riverbend Ranch and Riverbend Meats executives on April 11, 2024, in a ceremony in New York City.
Specifically, this complex construction project was recognized for demonstrating excellence, innovation, and cutting-edge technology.


Riverbend Ranch and Riverbend Meats and are dedicated to providing customers with America’s healthiest, most flavorful and highest-quality Angus beef. Both of these companies are owned by Frank VanderSloot, who is also the founder and Executive Chairman of Melaleuca.
Before taking home the top national award, Riverbend Meats won ENR’s Best Manufacturing Project Award for the Mountain States region in August 2023.

The 210,000-square-foot processing plant is composed of three main areas—a dedicated animal harvest and processing space, fulfillment areas with freezers and coolers, and a corporate office. The facility’s construction was completed in December 2022, and it began operating a few months later in June 2023.
